How to Set Up Voice Control for the iPhone

Voice Control is a feature included in all iPhone 3GS and later versions. You can use Voice Control to dial numbers, play a particular song or initiate a Face Time call. On older iPhone models, you only need to do a few things to make your Voice Control experience easier, but the feature is already enabled. If you have an iPhone 4S or later, you need to first disable Siri to set up Voice Control.

Instructions

1. Tap "Settings," choose "General," select "Siri," and then switch Siri off. Do this only if your phone supports Siri.
2. Press the "Home" button and hold it down to engage Voice Control. On Bluetooth headsets, press and hold the "call" button until Voice Control engages.
3. Speak when the Voice Control system prompts you to do so. Otherwise, it will not capture all of what you are saying.
